GCSE

Edexcel C. This is the SHP course which has an in-depth study of the American West and the impact that settlers had on the Native Americans. There is a development study which looks at the changing nature of crime and punishment from 1500 to 2005 and two pieces of coursework, one on the role of the media in creating opposition to the Vietnam War and the other is based around an enquiry into why the police could not catch Jack the Ripper in 1888. This involves a days field work in Whitechapel tracing the footsteps of Jack the Ripper.
