The award-winning author, Sophie McKenzie, came into the Library on Tuesday, 4th November to lead a Creative Writing session with Gifted and Talented students in Year 8.
She also talked to all Year 8s about her writing and she spoke to members of Book Club over lunch. . Sophie was winner of the Red House Children’s Book Award (older reader’s category) in 2007 and winner of the Richard and Judy’s Children’s Book Award 2007 12+ category.
Her most popular book is 'Girl, Missing' and her latest book is 'Blood Ties'. A bookshop selling her books was in the Library for the event.
