Music is the life blood of our school. So many students and staff enjoy music. We firmly believe that:

• Music enriches our lives,
• Music making helps young people develop their potential, shape their identities and contribute to society,
• All young people should have opportunities to make music.

Simon Balle has a tradition steeped in music. Our music department is now one of the most diverse and inclusive in the country. Our instrumental team work together like no other and our level of support for students is second to none.

More than 1 in 3 of the school learn an instrument. Our ensemble programme is thriving and musicians tour abroad every year.
