There are many opportunities for students to become involved in sporting activities while in the Sixth Form. There are extensive senior fixtures covering a range of sports and students are welcome to join in lunchtime practices as well as coaching and helping with the running of junior teams. The CSLA and HSLA courses in sports leadership are available through the school, and involve students coaching sport in local primary schools. As well as offering most conventional sports, student led activities are encouraged and in recent years, with the help of the P.E staff, a dodgeball league has been set up. This is but one example of some of the more unusual activities on offer. A strong emphasis is placed upon equal opportunities for both sexes and the Simon Balle Sixth Form boasts successful girls football and rugby sides.
