Common Room
One of the facilities on offer to the students is the Sixth Form Common Room. The Common Room is an area where students can study for their subjects or revise for upcoming exams. The area can also be used for students to socialise with their peers aswell as get advice and help from their peers on the subjects they are taking. There are computers in the common room aswell as the resources room, but the computers in the resources room are generally used for quiet studying.
Resources Room
There is also the Resources Room which is located in the Common Room are
a, where students can go to use computers, or to simply do some quiet studying. The Resources room is an excellent way for students to create pieces of work that require the use of computers, for example using a Word Document to write an essay or using Powerpoint to create presentations. It is also useful for finding out any nessecary information for a particular subject, using the internet facilities.
Fitness Gym
Aswell as areas for study their are also areas for the Sixth Form students to maintain their fitness. Students have t
he ability to use the Simon Balle Fitness Gym which is only available to Year 11 sports studies students, aswell as all of Year 12 and Year 13. The Gym has many weight training machines and exercise machines on offer, with many sports teachers on hand to train students on how to use the machines correctly. The Gym is good a way for students to maintain their fitness for subjects like Sports Studies, aswell as maintianing a healthy lifestyle which is proven to help with concentration and determination to succeed.
Coffee Shop
Sixth Form students also have the exclusive use of the on-site coffee shop, which provides students with food and drink throughout the day. Students can use the coffee shop as a means for getting coffee and lunch without having to go out of school.
Outdoor Area
Aswell as the common room students also have the ability to study and socialise outside. The outdoor area is perfect area for students to use their free periods in the summer, when the weather is much better. The area is very well kept and is just outside the common room.
